I’ll have to take another look at that, now that you point it out. All I remember right now is that the book had a slightly faded look to it that worked well with the historical approach.

Among other things, it contradicts the text (where iirc one of the characters, being obnoxious, makes a joke about vampires proving there’s such a thing as being too white).

I read this book just the other night, and really enjoyed it. Jetlad’s story was very interesting because it was sort of scary how little of an identity he has. Which probably doesn’t bode well for the relationship he eventually finds himself in either.

I so wanted to see and learn more of The Maid’s story as she really was such a neat idea. Sadly with Moore cutting ties completely, we never will I guess.
