Tom Spurgeon doesn’t like Publishers Weekly’s article on DC’s backlist strategy, calling it “self-serving spin” and concluding

Everyone knows how difficult it can be to maintain relationships with publishers who see news sources as marketing vehicles. I think it’s imperative to suggest comics readers embrace a level of massive skepticism, not just for sites and writers with limited budgets who embrace a limited scope for their work, but for magazines of record with paid staff and all the access in the world.

Mark at Focused Totality isn’t actually the last one to talk about Demo — I’m expecting to get the collection in a couple of months, so I’ll be reacting to it then — but his writeup makes me eager for it.
