[...] Fruits Basket was probably Tokyopop’s most successful series, with 23 volumes released in the U.S. from 2004-2009. I read and reviewed much of it about five years ago, but I quit at book 17, because the series was just running too long for me. I did review the fanbook, Fruits Basket Banquet, last year, along with another book by author Natsuki Takaya, Songs to Make You Smile. Tokyopop tried to develop the creator’s following by releasing Tsubasa: Those With Wings and Phantom Dream, but neither were as good or successful. [...]

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think for me, it just ran too long. I would have stayed with it (and loved it, I'm sure) at a length of 12-14 books.

D'aww, I can see why you would have gotten tired of it. But it makes me sad, because this is one of my all time favorite manga, even if the ending didn't suit my purposes. I can still reread it all and enjoy everything, considering that the characters fell together so evenly (yet not too cookie cutter).

I love FB it's so amazing, I really want to have a next Generation of fruits basket with the childern from the former Characters

for example:

Kyo and Tohru gets married and have a son with the curse of the cat named Astra, just make like the first version but a little different.
