Since this is an older, completed series, you may have to ask the bookstore to order it for you.

Oh my goodness! I loved Tanpopo! She is so wild and hillariously happy that you end up thinking brightly of everything. Tsuki was funny also!! I loved how they got a little gang going! It was one of the best mangas I have ever read.

[...] In “Second Impression”, Haruka’s in summer school, where she gets to know a popular boy she otherwise would have never spoken to. They bond over raising a sunflower. Again using the courage theme, this story reminded me of the much-superior Imadoki series, which isn’t a fair comparison. Of course a five-book series is going to be much more entertaining than a 35-page short story. I also felt like I didn’t get to know these characters as well as I did the ones in the earlier stories. [...]

Really, really like this one, and the lack of psychological realism is actually one of its charms; that Tampopo's good spirits are as indestructible as the dandelion she's named for really works for me. My favorite scene is when Tsuki reveals how she's been playing Tampopo for a fool and isn't really her friend at all. Tampopo's reaction was completely unexpected (to me, anyway), and delightful.
