Now I’ve just got to work on getting my spouse interested in joining me in these quests…

The riddles I could figure out through a process of elimination and analyzing the structure of the type of answer expected.

I just picked up a pack tonight and this is getting to be quite addicting.

I did get one puzzle, though, that was too English for me to handle (one about Christmas cracker riddles). Puzzles are one thing, but trying to figure out puns on words I’m unfamiliar with in the first place… very frustrating (especially for only seven points).

They’re very smart, imaginative and adventurous guys, and were two of the primary folks involved with solving that “AI”-movie internet-mystery-game (I believe Alternate Reality Game is the term that’s been coined). I think that was the start of their serious interest in these sorts of things, and their current work on them. From Adrian’s blog, here’s some of his thoughts on this sort of thing. The cards idea seems to be a new twist, but the internet community aspect is still a strong one in Perplex. I haven’t got involved with these sorts of games myself, but I wish them, their company, their games all the best, and I’m glad you’re enjoying it, Johanna!
