My understanding from my students days there was the Collection is only available to people who can demonstrate they are doing research in the comic field. The Collection is not open to the general public for leisure reading. If this is wrong, please let me know. Presumably they operate like most library special collections & archives: you go to the reading room, request items that you'd like to see, and they'll bring them out for you to read.
