Maze Agency Plans?

The current Previews catalog lists Maze Agency #4, the last issue of the miniseries due in February, as “cancelled by publisher”. I couldn’t find any information on whether they intend to resolicit or not — their website doesn’t list the title on their list of publications, and their store only includes the reprint collection and the two issues out so far. (Their list of titles due last month still has information, though.) Does anyone have any more news?
It would be a shame if this was yet another aborted run at the title. I haven’t had a chance to read it yet, because given IDW’s high prices, I was waiting for the collection of the new miniseries. I knew I’d want the stories in a more permanent form.

Crap. This probably means we can kiss trades for the rest of the series goodbye, too, huh?
Double crap.

I hope not. I was looking forward to rereading the series. I haven’t heard many people talking about it, though, which may not be a good sign.

The mini series probably had low orders from retailers which leads to even lower sales. I remember when Caliber tried to revive the series and it didn’t sell well at all. That’s too bad. I’ve always loved the Maze Agency and I’m always thrilled when there’s a new story. At least having these three issues of Maze Agency (#3 is out this week) is better than no Maze Agency at all.

I wish I knew why such a good series (that fills a niche with few other comic options, the fair play mystery) was so cursed.
