Right now, Amazon has the first Dennis the Menace hardcover on sale for 60% off cover price. That’s $9.98, a great price for a great lump of comic strip history.
(Thanks to Nat Gertler for pointing that out to me — if you’re looking for another purchase to get to the $25 free shipping, you could do a lot worse than Nat’s books on comic scriptwriting, Panel One and Panel Two.)

Thanks for the heads up! I placed an order for this along with Tezuka’s Buhdda vol. 7, which got me just past the $25 free shipping mark.

I ordered it myself. I’m curious to see the early early days of the strip I only know by later artists, and it’s a lot easier to be curious at $10.
