More New York Thoughts

Turns out that there’s a comic convention here in town this weekend, but I’m not planning to go. It’s $15 for a day, and it seems focused on media guests and “glamour” (aka topless) models. I would also be more impressed if they’d spelled Cliff Chiang’s name right. (I know, it’s easy to have a typo, but he was one of the few people listed whom I’d make a special trip to go see.)
I was also just reminded that I should work in a visit to MOCCA while I’m here.
Coming up, Lyle has the news that they’re working on a Xanadu musical. AHHHHHH!!! I will come back to the city just to see that.

Johanna, didn’t you say that this would be a ‘light’ posting period for you while you were gone? Glad you were able to stay in touch in NYC. I am jealous. I love Times Square too. Thankfully, I will be there in May. I can’t wait.

Plan for the worst, hope for the best. :)

Xanadu? As in that Gene Kelly movie? As in the guilty pleasure I dare not name? That might even be worth a trip for me.

You were smart not to go. Big Apple Cons, despite nearly a decade in the business, are historically sloppy affairs. THe air conditioning in the Plaza was still warm.
And it’s rather sad that, despite the fact that he’s been doing the shows semi-regularly for years, that they misspelled Chiang’s name. At least he had a more prominent seat than last time.
