Dave dislikes Ashton to the point that he doesn&#8217;t believe that he&#8217;s changed at all, considering the growth we see in the book another act. That seems to take interaction with the work slightly too far for my comfort. I have good reason to hate Ashton&#8217;s type, a user of women, but I really appreciated the way Chynna made a usually two-dimensional stereotype into a real person, and I understood and believed in his motivations.
