“revealing that the company hired as Editor-in-Chief a guy who’d just closed his own publisher, reportedly leaving some creators unpaid.”

I’ve been told and seen at cons, he got the EIC role due to friendship over talent, the classic not what you know but who. Emms’ is not a pro creator, he did not earn it. He’s a businessman, which might be to far saying that APC went belly up fast.
Anyone who has spoken to this guy knows he a slick city talker always ready to be your buddy but the truth always comes out so why Markosia would put him in the position is mind blowing. All they’ve had for it is many remarks they’re the second coming of APC. I don’t know if they are but the rough edge they put across along with Rich Emms as EIC and the same APC PR guy and flaming at every opportunity means they’re letting themselves become like it! Don’t get me wrong I hope they ain’t and hope they can pull this out, I do, tho the thread Rob discussed, one of the most revolting I’ve ever read, was convincing.

Where satterlee told Folley if he’s any issues or criticisms he ought to only discuss them in private?

did you miss former aquanintences of satterlee also add their two cents at the distrust of satterlee and annoyance of his growing verbose style? did you miss Chuck then proceed to delete all his posts on this thread only to leave a retraction to them? much criticism of the handling of this followed from many corners.

sure you missed it all cos then markosia removed the entire thread!

the only swearing and heated exchange on the thread was between markosia employees (inc freelancers). their reason for removing it seems to be a sudden anti-anonymous-user stance…. odd considering how many geniunely abusive messages on other threads not aimed at markosia have been left untouched! or how many positive messages by “guests” remain too.
