Ah, for a few empty days, so I could read all the archives of Dicebox. It’s a beautifully illustrated and colored webcomic about two women in a science fiction setting, but that’s an inadequate description. It’s SF the same way Finder is, about character more than plot, although there’s plenty of that, too. Just read it. Amazing work, and I want to know why I haven’t heard of it before.

I’m still reading the Comics Journal issue that had the best of 2005 lists in it, and someone praised Dicebox, so I looked it up.

Maybe you missed it because you weren’t reading at GirlAMatic.com when GAM debuted with DB as part of the lineup?
I discovered it via the good offices of Scott McCloud, myself. Hail Scott!

Very probably. I’m glad the subscription webcomic sites are out there, but I’m not part of the audience. I forget to read webcomics (so I don’t want to pay for access), and then when I discover or rediscover them, I want to go through the archives all at once (which I can’t do because I haven’t subscribed).
I would definitely buy a print collection of this, though.

Like usual, I hit post too soon. DB was free before GAM, and doing good.
