Today in Comic History: Atari Force

Via David Oakes, found on Usenet:

The year 2006 seemed like such a long way away back in the early ’80s, didn’t it? Well guess what? It’s here. Today, 20 June 2006, the original Atari Force will discover New Earth.

This reminder courtesy of Lee K. Seitz, who keeps an Atari Force fansite. Great comic, that was. Dart is still one of my all-time favorite characters.

Atari Force was awesome! Good, creative story telling. And, for at least the first 12 issue, Garcia-Lopez doing some beautiful art.

Dart was indeed a strong character. So was Morph.

I’m honored, Johana, that you found my minor piece of trivia worth posting to your blog. Thanks.

You’re welcome. I love that kind of stuff, a reminder that we’re living in what used to be the Future.

You know I misread this at first and thought it was an annoucement of the series coming back. Which got me really excited for a minute!:)
