Eyebeam popularized (but apparently did not invent) the enormously common malady known as "male answer syndrome." I have this syndrome but I do not suffer from it; I leave the suffering to those around me who are constantly trying to figure out if I know what I'm talking about or if I'm just making things up that sound pretty good.
Eeeeeee, Eyebeam! I found Eyebeam in a little indie bookstore in my college town back in 1988 or so. My wife completed my collection of books as a birthday gift a few years ago, and both of us end up re-reading the books whenever we need something light and friendly.

Thanks for doing a writeup!

In the early 80's, a few years before I started school at the University of Texas, Hank the Hallucination won the election for student body president. They abolished the position shortly afterwards, not to return several years later right around the time I attended.

Sam was a frequent guest of conventions, book signings, and comic shop signings (along with fellow Austin artists Martin Wagner, Jack "Jaxon" Jackson [who just died], the guy who did a few issues of "Heroes" [whose name escapes me, the book was reproduced from his pencils only], Donny Jansen, and others).
