Archie Kisses Reggie

Remember that Archie cover I posted last week, with the elephants? After I scanned it, I gave the comic back to KC to file. He asked “did you read it?” I replied no, and he said, “oh, you’ve got to, this one has the story where Archie and Reggie kiss.”
Lo and behold, he’s right. Veronica’s necklace has broken, and she thinks she’s recovered all the pearls but one. After she promises a kiss to whomever finds the missing bead, Reggie and Archie decide that they’ll give her fakes just to get to kiss her.
I like the way she ducks out of the way of their zooming lips.

Not to change the subject or anything but has anyone else seen the Archie comic where Reggie calls himself “Gaylord”. It starts where Reggie challenges Archie to a duel (by slapping him across the face) over Veronica, except this time he goes all out with a fake moustache and costume. He also gives himself the name Gaylord. Am I the only one mildly disturbed to find this in an Archie comic.
