Dark Horse should have made clear it was a reprint in the ordering information. Once that omission was pointed out to them, they should have immediately announced it was returnable instead of it even being a question. That’s the only thing I think they did wrong.

The Escapist comics have had amazing lineups, but they’ve been way too expensive for what they were, in my opinion. This series ditches the anthology approach, right?

I don’t know where I picked up the info (osmosis, maybe?), but I knew that the first issue of Escapists #1 was a reprint when I ordered it for my shop. The $1 price point was the clue that sealed the deal. Not arguing that Dark Horse should have made it clear, but this seems more like a slip-up than anything malicious.

Of course, I could be biased, as I quite liked the story, and was pleased to see it get a new life in a format that I thought I might actually be able to sell, unlike the pricey and difficult to move Escapist anthology.
