I think some of it relates to the fact that with comics, I want to be in control when and where I read them. It´s the same reason why I don´t buy floppies anymore. Complete stories, instead of trying to keep up with some publication schedule.

Also, I noticed in the world of music reviews, most reviewers tend to be far too lenient with the stuff they review. That´s because there is a difference in how I feel about a work, if I have to pay for it. With everything I review (if I got it for free), the question is, would I have bought it?

There's a weird kind of cycle where if I get something for free, it's easier to ignore it or downplay it, but something that exists as a paper object seems to have more value.

I haven't thought this through completely, so forgive me for rambling.

I´ve gotta say, as much as I love that people continue to publish their comics on the web, as much as I try to keep up (and it´s not that hard, sitting in front of the computer all day long), I just can´t be bothered more often than not.

Book collections of web-comics however, and I´m so there.

If this is the way it will be, serialization on the web + book collection later on, I´m totally cool with that.

I haven't... I'm trying to accomplish two things here: get caught up on the backlog, and see what people send me as a result. :)

Thanks for the good wishes!
