I think I would have taken it that way, too, were it not for the last line about George Bush video Blogs. Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive after having dinner with my in-laws last night;)

I took David's use of "conservative" as "slow and resistant to change" (the company's standards for the Sabrina sitcom come to mind) as well.

I think David means "conservative" in the sense of "old-fashioned", not politically. Like the saying "you know a fad is dead when Archie does a story about it."

But that's a great idea, about DeCarlo.

uuhhhh.... so podcasts and blogs are the exclusive province of liberals? Y'know, I actually know some conservatives who use Macs. Guess Macs, in general, must be over- even Rush Limbaugh uses one. I'm a Linux guy, myself. And a proud conservative.

Back on topic, though- wouldn't it be great if comics fans rose up en masse and e-mail-bombed them with all sorts of questions about Dan DeCarlo's contributions to Archie Comics over the decades?

Color me stunned as well. I mean, how over do podcasts have to be if the last icon of 50's social conservatism has come round?

What's next, George Bush video blogs?
