Perhaps Milestone could publish a few comics each year. I'm thinking one issue per series in each of 3 months: June, July, and August. Maybe just 4 series.

That way, they would have a presence in the summer when most younger readers are out of school.

They would have plenty of time to plan and conceive each mini-series, thereby avoiding late books and giving their fans a nice summertime present.

James, I suspect that many publishers wouldn't be interested unless there was new material to promote along with the collections. Which would be something even cooler to wish for, but it makes the whole thing also more unlikely. But I keep hoping.

Dan, what a great idea! I should do that sometime, too.

I wish they could at least find a publisher to release collections of their series. I was just really getting into comics when they were on the way out, and while what I've found has been good it is too hard to find complete runs of many of their series. (plus I'd just prefer trades then a huge stack of singles)

Man, I miss Milestone. Hardware and Xombi were my favorites, but I think I have full runs of everything else too. Hmmmm, guess I know what I'm readin' this weekend. :)
