I have the firey Superman pajama bottoms, and a CrossGen Mystic t-shirt (hey it was free when I won the trip to their HQ) that I usually wear. So Cap and Supes is a lot better by comparison.:)

Your Tower story reminds me of when the local Sam Goody went out of business. It was 10% off everything up to the last week, when it became 50% off, 60 on Christmas albums.

Not at our store -- they had the signs up about going out of business and discounts. The discounts just weren't very good yet.

Rumor around town has it that they don't plan to finally close the Tower stores until the end of the year, so this will be going on a LONG while. Which I think is a bad idea, but what do I know? I don't run multi-million-dollar liquidation firms.

I'll be trying back in November, looks like.

I am so not going to debate your sleepware with your husband. Let me simply agree that if those two can't be friends, than no one can.

Though to be a true Pop Culture geek, you need a 1938 Superman logo. And a long yellow nightdress.

I stopped by Tower this weekend and had the same reaction. I walked in thinking "maybe I'll find a great deal" but left feeling pretty underwhelmed.

Hee hee. Good catch, there. You have to be careful with your geek fashion combos.

Johanna, would that be any worse of a faux pas then Wizard running a picture of Straczynski wearing a Superman baseball cap while talking about his writing Spiderman comics? I think you could pull off the Captain America-Superman combo nicely.
