Critiquing the Critics, Part Two

Following up on my earlier post here, David Hopkins has completed his survey of comic reviewers. Part two asks about their definitions of a good comic and their backgrounds; Part three concludes with a challenge for more competition and professionalism.

I’m afraid I can’t take his style guide demands seriously, though. I agree with the idea that more attention to detail (such as getting the credits right) is important, but David is all caught up over whether it should be “indy” or “indie” while not even realizing how erroneous the use of the term “mainstream” is most times when used in reference to comics.

Still, the project overall was a good effort, and I’m all for people trying to improve the craft of reviewing.
