Purchase Help for KC

I have found another reason to mourn the departure of Tower Records — it’s suddenly gotten much harder for KC to find his British music magazines here in town. Two questions, thus:

Is there anywhere reliable online that sells individual music magazines? Not subscriptions, I guess more like back issues, only current?

Alternately, is there anyone who can help me get the copy of the current issue of Q with Pete Townshend on the cover? (Taking a cue from comics, they’ve done 20 covers for their 20th anniversary, and the only ones that seem to have made it to town are Madonna and Kate Bush. Yay for including women, but boo for helping a longtime fan get the cover he wants.)

around these parts, Hastings Books and Music is the only place to find these. I know that I’ve seen them at Barnes & Noble stores in the past in other cities. So I’d check the local mega-bookstore.

I think I’ve seen it in assorted shops around Ottawa-Gatineau…

We get Q at my store Johanna. I’ve got several covers sitting in boxes I’ve still not unpacked. I go back to work on Sunday and I’ll check for you then.

FYI, I checked out a nearby big newsstand, the only had the U2 and Beyonce covers. The Union Square Borders only had Q magazines in opaque shrink wrap, so I presume those came from a prior issue since concealing the cover would undermine the variants.

Thanks to everyone for sharing information and offering to help. One of the things I’m intellectually curious about is whether all 20 covers were even shipped over here. Although it would probably be unjustified extra trouble to separate them out.
