Interview with Kelly Sue

I am very happy. Publishers Weekly Comic Week gave me a chance to do a different kind of journalism — this week’s issue has my interview with Kelly Sue DeConnick about her manga translation work. She’s done an amazing job with one of my favorite manga, Sensual Phrase, and it was a pleasure to talk with her.

Also in this week’s PWCW: November’s Bestsellers List, which shows that for top sales, you really need to be published by Viz, Tokyopop, or DC. Big kudos to Svetlana Chmakova’s Dramacon 2 (review coming soon) for placing so highly without the kind of media or franchise support all the other titles have.
