Now available at PW Comics Week, my interview with Rivkah, author of Steady Beat.
This was a hoot to do, because she was very animated and garrulous to talk with, which made for some interesting (at least, in my opinion) revelations.
It’s good you pared it down to make for less tedious reading. In real life, I’m actually pretty shy and quiet, but put a camera or a microphone or any sort of recording device or audience in front of me, and I’ll go on for hours. Especially if it’s about comics. Hope I didn’t bore you to death.
And you mind if I post the full interview over on my journal, too? I know a couple fans who actually enjoy the wordiness and incomplete sentences. ;) However, I understand if there’s a proprietary thing with PW and you’d rather I didn’t.
Excellent interview. It was very fun to read. Again, I wish it was longer. I hope that PW will let you publish longer interviews in the future. If Rivkah puts the full text up on her website I will definitely read it.
Thanks for the nice words! I think there’s a certain length boundary since this is published online — I know I don’t want to read pages and pages on screen.
Rivkah, I don’t have a problem with that, but I don’t know what PW’s policy is.
