The Boys at Dynamite

Two weeks ago, the news broke that The Boys was cancelled by then-current publisher DC Comics. Now, Heidi has the news: their new publisher will be Dynamite Entertainment. That’s a really quick turnaround, and it bodes well for seeing more issues sooner rather than later.
And to think, if DC hadn’t axed the book, I never would have bothered checking it out, and I wouldn’t be looking forward to its return.
Newsarama confirms that the cover price will stay $2.99, which is good news.
Update: Heidi interviews Garth Ennis, accompanied by art samples from the still-to-be-published issue #7.

It’s quick but not as quick as it seems. The book was internally cancelled over a month ago and there were discussions before that.

I guess I must have missed the post where you came around to the book? I’m glad you did… it doesn’t seem like something you’d typically dig. I loved it – it’s (gleefully) nasty, but there’s also a human core that is missing from a lot of other shock-for-shock’s-sake books. I’ll follow it, that’s for sure.

At the time of the last posting, I hadn’t read the series yet — and once I did, I didn’t have much to say about it. I’m curious to see how it relaunches.
