New Comics Unlimited Column

My new column at Comics Unlimited is now up. Click on the “Graphic Novels Worth Owning” banner to see my comments on four very different graphic novels about young women finding their way in the world:

Breaking Up, Scholastic’s newest graphic novel for teen girls, featuring four high-schoolers and their changing relationships

Lucky, Gabrielle Bell’s diary comic about life as a struggling artist

The Huntress: Darknight Daughter, a 70s reprint collection starring the child of Batman and Catwoman

Death: The High Cost of Living, showing Death’s one day as a mortal

Hmm, Amazon’s title for Breaking Up is “Fashion High Graphic Novel (Breaking Up).” Where the author also has a sort of blog.

I hadn’t heard of the book before, but I love Norrie’s work so I’ll look for it.
