Maybe because it seemed somewhat… unnecessary? when there were so many other Astro City stories implicitly promised that had never been gotten to? I mean, why keep introducing characters and situations when those already there cry out for more?

However, I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m not enjoying Astro City anymore — Dark Age has its flaws, but The Eagle and the Mountain was one of the best stories I read last year.
