Beg Patience

I beg your patience with me today — I got food poisoning last night. As a result, I haven’t slept much, I can’t even drink water without getting sick, and now I’m just killing time waiting for an emergency doctor’s office to open on Sunday. So if I don’t sound like myself in the comments or any posts today (no idea whether that’s even likely), that would be why.

Last time this happened, KC was traveling. The only thing that’s made this bearable this time, while I was lying on the bathroom floor in the middle of the night, too week to crawl back to bed, is that he’s a wonderful caretaker. (Sign of brain fatigue: took me three tries to get to that word. Started with “taker-care-of”.)

At least I have new manga to distract me.

Ugh, that’s no fun. I hope you feel better soon. When you’re able, drink some Gatorade or another sports drink to keep from dehydrating.

Get well soon! Try zwieback/rusk with peppermint tea and honey. That always helped me.

I spent the better part of last week sick with the flu. The only thing that helps me feel better is to OD on romantic comedies or anything that could even remotely be classified as “romance”. Teen comedies help too but if they’re actually funny it could cause problems with the stomach. Feel better!
