Of course, they make it clear that he's insane every episode, and he's racked up quite the body count so far this season. Anyway, if you haven't experienced Yost's previous series, <i>Boomtown</i>, do (the first of two seasons <a href="http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005JMMT/?tag=comicsworthreadi" rel="nofollow">is available on DVD</a>). Finest cop show since <i>Hill Street Blues</i> (at least) -- and it's actually part of the <i>Raines</i> continuity, as one <i>Boomtown</i> character showed up on the first episode of <i>Raines.</i> Hmmm…. Since it is only in one storyline in the doube digest, and if it isn't popular will never be seen again. Who knows maybe it'll be as good as what Del Rio has brought to Sabrina.
