Tom Hart sends along the message that starting today, his online Hutch Owen comic tackles a new subject:

“Hutch Owen in France” has Hutch landing in France in the middle of the recent presidential election over there. Strips about France will run at least four weeks and later will explore the French cheeses, learning the French language and just how darn beautiful and gracious it is over there. Which is harder to deal with than it sounds…

I liked the first installment… Hutch is so irrepressible in expressing his viewpoints that I sometimes don’t know what to make of him, but culture clash is usually a fruitful subject for creation.

It’s based on Hart’s recent trip to that country.
