Beauty Pop is a very getting to know characters manga. At times, they make a huge deal about girls trying to be pretty, which is a little offensive to the girls who don’t care about looks that much. But even so, the comedy is pretty funny, and somewhat subtile, and the development on how Kiri becomes friends with people she didn’t even care about make it into a cute little series.

Actually, theres supposedly a 9th+10th book. Part of the “Beauty Pop, 2nd stage” thingy. So it looks to me if not many people know about book 9 & 10.

I love Beauty Pop. I picked it up at the library, expecting a cheap typical shojou series. But I was really impressed. You know, though, Iori doesn’t actually refer to himself as “me”. The point is that he is speaking English. I don’t know if the creator got the form wrong or if it was deliberate, to show how phony Iori is.

I love BEAUTY POP.
But in Indonesia, there are only 2 volume of beauty pop.
I always wait for next volume.
for example… the first Beauty pop releast in June 2006… But I read the second one in january 2008..
