I will be shocked if Foundry has more than two issues. Many folks I respect have contributed to the effort, so I hope I'm wrong.

But Mr. Leong needs to get someone reading his posts on these business matters or doing his PR for him. He consistently delivers ill-conceived lines like: "I hold no ill will against them, and let's hope they feel the same way."

Why should he hold ill will, and if it entered his mind, why mention it and what GOOD will did he generate from Diamond (ro anyone) with that line?

On ordering the comic magazine thing. I will say no I won't be ordering it.

With the internet I already have so many free options for interviews or reviews if I choose to read them. Which these days I rarely do, especially interviews which I just find very uninteresting as they are done.

And news wise whatever is in a magazine is old news way before it is even solicited.

To be fair I rarely get a TCJ issue and haven't even looked at an issue of Wizard in nearly 5 years now. So I'm probably not the target audience anyway.

The whole thing with MINX is that women are ultimately in charge of the content, which has been my argument from day one. I hate the imprint name, but all the creators connected with the announced titles so far have been ones that always end up on "good girl-friendly creators" lists. While I realize the argument that just because a woman did it, it's not necessarily not sexist, I do think Karen Berger has been in the trenches enough to have some sort of cachet with people. No?

I totally agree with yours and Valerie's points that once something cautiously innovative fails, publishers are all wary of ever trying it again and good ideas go by the wayside, which is why I've been more in favor of MINX than not. Or more willing to give it a try anyway. But really, Karen Berger's and Shelly Bond's names mean nothing to people? Were it a dude starting the line, I''d be much more suspicious, but given Berger's track record with so many books (including Wonder Woman and Amethyst), I'm way more willing to cut her some slack. That's basically what's been confusing about the whole slagging on MINX thing for me.
