I just got the manga I ordered from Deep Discount (as previously discussed here). I guess it’s true that you get what you pay for… my book arrived with an inch-long piece of a sticker still adhering to the middle of the front cover, right over the character’s face. I can’t believe that a reputable retailer shipped product in this condition.
Their paperwork says they expect me to pay return postage, even if the item is defective, and that would negate the savings, so I’ll clean it up the best I can. I’ve sent an email to their customer service, and I’ll let you know if they address the problem.
Update: They offered to send a postage-paid return label for return or exchange, although I’ve already cleaned the book up myself, so I decided to keep it without waiting any longer for a corrected copy. Aside from the frustration over having to email twice (the first response said they couldn’t find any record of my order), I’m satisfied with their handling of the situation.Similar Posts: Aurora Manga on Discount Sale; Thoughts on the Company § Bravo for Byrne; Golden’s Pettiness § Win $100 Gift Code for Archie Posters! § Digital Manga Gives New Customers a Free eBook — With Proof of Purchase From Elsewhere § Would You Pay $10 to Have Your Comics Brought to You?
