I just found out mr. wieringo died. Over here,in the Netherlands we mostly knew him for his work on spider-man as this is the only titel he worked on that was published here. I was able to get my hands on most issues of Tellos, wich in my opinion was much to short lived. I found his art quite unique, refreshing and inspiring. I love to draw and his art really had a great influence on my own style of drawing (although i'll never get close to his talent). I can't believe he is gone. And at such an early age as well. It doesnt seem fair. My sincear condolences to his family and friends. I'm sure i speak for all his fans when i say that he will be missed and that the comic book industry has lost one of the greats. I have nothing but the deepest respect for him and the great work he did over the years.

Thank you, Mr. wieringo, for all the great work you did.

I'm so glad I got a chance to thank 'ringo for his work on his recent Spidey/FF mini with Parker when I was at HeroesCon this year. Never have I met a person in which his level of talent was only exceeded by the degree to which he was humble. I hope Kirby met him at the gates of whatever afterlife there is. As much as I know he was respected, my sadness is eased by the outpouring of praise that has been rained on the man today.
