Technique was planned to be a miniseries spinoff of the Milestone series Hardware, featuring a female version of the Iron Man-like character.

Why did it never come out? Colleen Doran goes over a bit of its troubled history. The unnamed writer was Jo Duffy, based on the credits stated. Doran has also posted the intended issue #1 splash page.

It’s a shame that it never happened, because the world needs more powerful black female superheroes, and I liked that Technique had the same powers as Hardware.
