Total self-indulgence here, and nothing to do with comics: the NY Times has an article recommending New York elopements instead of expensive wedding ceremonies. That’s what KC and I did 8 & ½ years ago. It’s fast, it’s economic, and with New York’s wonderful architecture, it’s even romantic. (City Hall looks exactly like it should.)

I don’t know, I have always thought City Hall should look like this.
But as someone else happily married by a Justice of the Peace, I heartily recommend it to everyone. If the government is going to be in the marriage business, let’s at least make them work for it.

I have one word for you: Geek!
Yeah, I have a civil union, and proud of it!

I’ve attended more than one wedding HERE: http://www.cincymuseum.org/explore_our_sites/union_terminal/ with ceremonies held both indoors and out on the steps. None in costume, alas, but as close to the Hall Of Justice as you are likely to find here on Earth Prime.
Cheers.

Robin and I didn’t have an elopement per se, but we did get married at City Hall in a very brief ceremony almost 9 years ago. It’s a lovely building. Weird; I remember coming out of it and looking up at the WTC.
