Vote for Marvel Costumes

The top 30 Marvel Costume Contest finalists have been posted, ready for fan voting. Voters have to join the site and will also be entered in a sweepstakes to win a “signed Captain America Volume 1 Omnibus by Ed Brubaker” (and no artists, apparently). Voting ends October 29, with winners announced on Halloween.

Some have more imagination than skill (zombie Colonel America, zombie Spider-Man). Some are surprising in choice, but a good execution (Deadpool, Sandman, the Lizard, Mister Sinister, Iron Man - a miracle of engineering, as is the Thing, and Squirrel Girl!). Some are straightforward, with body to match (Punisher, Phoenixes - the white one’s shiny!). PS to Storm - wear flesh-colored underwear with white clothing, not blue.

I’m most impressed by the J. Jonah Jameson, myself. It’s a clever concept, an unusual choice, and carried off with personality.
