Johanna, I always knew you would love Azumanga Daioh. It’s a book that rewards repeated readings. I’ve found that once you’ve read the series and get to know the characters then the jokes are funnier the second time around. You know how bad the misperceptions really are and you know how things will eventually turn out. You also see that from the beginning the author had a strong sense of who each character was and just took his time letting the audience get to know them as well as he did.
