I REALLY hope this magazine finds its feet and takes off. I don't feel like I need to take a shower (or eat IQ pills) like I do after an issue of WIZARD. Nice to see the design take a stronger lead, just not to the exclusion of being able to read things.

Overall I dig it. A Lot. It takes itself JUST serious enough, but still sticks the landing with getting decent interviews. I'd agree with Johanna on getting the sequencing of the good stuff better sorted, but I do like all the little tidbits scattered around the pages. And yes, I'd love to see them with a bigger graphic novel/comic review section, done with a less than fanboy attitude.

Like you, I was underwhelmed by the first issue after all the buildup it got. It's actually the Venture Bros. story that's getting me to give it a second look. The Matt Fraction interview interests me too. Sorry to hear that the fashion feature is still there, though -- but I'm glad they're taking chances.
