Hallelujah. This is the best news in a while. The first volume is so well done -- it's a great volume to hand to people who like comic strips but don't think they'd like comic books. Much of the humor and setup is similar to gag-a-day situation strips, but the level and strength of the humor keeps building and building as you get to know the characters. There's a strong philosophical undercurrent to the characters and their dialogue that rewards the more literate reader without making it too heavy for a lighter (possibly younger) reader.
