A Few More NYC Con Notes

I thought I was done, but I forgot a couple of things:
Tim Callahan has a unique convention report approach: it’s all about the face-punching. Or lack thereof. Apparently, KC and I saved someone from the hitting by being nice.
We were very surprised to run into Tim again yesterday (and no, we are not stalking him) at the Norman Rockwell Museum graphic novel exhibit, where he was teaching a cartooning workshop. Interesting display that raised a lot of good discussion about the nature of museum exhibits, their selections to show, and how comics relate to fine art.
Tim Leong thought I should be a redhead. I used to be, but not currently, sorry. Glad to hear the show went so well for him!
Last, Jennifer de Guzman, Editor-in-Chief at SLG Publishing, expresses an interesting concern over Vertigo’s announcement that they’re going to be publishing a lot more original graphic novels: that they’re going to get the rejects submitted to them after.

It’s weird not seeing you guys yet today. It’s only 4:59 though, and I’m sure I’ll bump into you before the end of the day, right?

Thanks for the welcome back, Johanna! I’m glad to be back and catching up with all the great blogs, such as yours, that I have missed during my year long exile!

Tim: hee hee. Sorry to disappoint you. We’re on our way back home now. But you’re welcome to stop by whenever you’re in Richmond!
Loren: We’re glad to have you — a very pleasant surprise to see you back, and my good wishes for the best possible resolution of whatever kept you away.
