According to the press release,

Revisit and relive your favorite Archie comic books from the Bronze Age of Comics. This includes a total of 97 comic books covering a span from February 1970 through December 1979, including annuals, all articles, and every single advertisement. All comics can be printed or viewed on your PC.

The set is put out by GIT Corp, who did the wonderful Marvel comic collections on disc (sadly no longer available). They do good work, and I love their support of multiple computer platforms (since they use PDFs with little additional trickery).

I also enjoy the inclusion of the ads, which give an interesting portrait of the time. Future Archie DVD-ROM volumes are planned as well.

I saw some late 60s/early 70s Archies in a store in Jersey last weekend with wacky “girl power” covers involving B&V and couldn’t help thinking, “I wonder if Johanna has written about these yet.”

Hee hee. There are so many to choose from!
