		<description>I&#039;m trying to think if I can think of any western mythology that meshes with Mushishi, but I can&#039;t think of one.  Though I phrase it a bit differently, I also like the way in which the books naturalize the mushi.  It allows people to disbelieve in them, which I think is part of what makes it work.

Now I just have to wait until after I move to read the rest of this series.  *cries*</description>
