The manga caption contest I mentioned last week that I’m co-hosting with HeroMachine has concluded and the winner has been picked! Congratulations and thanks to everyone who entered.

I found it a learning experience — I hadn’t realized how different manga could be to read, with Jeff having to draw in a balloon tail to make things clearer for some of the readers. Also, I knew the story context, so I was really surprised at what some of the contestants saw as the image portraying. An interesting meeting of cultures.
