I believe Tania’s original commitment to ArchieCo (and ArchieCo’s commitment to her) was that she would be on Sabrina thru issue 100. I think her reply means she is willing to extend that, but ArchieCo hasn’t reciprocated yet…

I took her answer as saying yes, she would, but it was ultimately up to Archie Comics to make that decision.

Ok, I know I’m really stupid, but what did Tania’s answer to question #1 mean? Is she doing writing & art after #100 or not? Because it really didn’t seem like she answered the question.

Johanna and Tania, thanks for the update. I’m certainly one that wants to see Tania continue working on Sabrina well past issue 100. It’s one of few comics I follow on an issue by issue basis.

Tania del Rio Says: “Anyway, a year ago, I signed a contract to do a one volume book for Tokyopop about Quinceaneras. They approached me directly with the idea. They wanted me to make a script for it and illustrate it so, again, it was a purely work-for-hire situation. However, after completing the scipt and thumbnails, there was a change of plans. They told me they wanted to split the one volume into two, to give the story more space to be told.”

That sounds cool! Now I wonder how she’ll take advantage of having 2 volumes. Imagine if volume 2 ends with a flashforward to her cincuentañera… :)
