I can’t use them since I moved to NY from MD, but anyone who is near one, enter this contest, I truly miss CaliTort’s food which, normally, is very good. (Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience there Johanna, but I think their response shows why they are, at their core, such a fun and customer friendly chain!)

Oh, yeah, I meant to point that out. Kind of like how the Penn Station sandwich shop chain is from the Midwest.

But the California Tortilla chain is still going strong. It’s just this location that closed. Which I’m not real surprised about, since it was never busy and in a residential area. The quick Mexican places that do well around here are near business locations.

Perhaps the fact that “California” Tortilla was almost entirely inside the Beltway had something to do with their closing?

(Can’t pick me, I am in AZ. I will offer the winner dinner on me if they ever end up in AZ. Least I can do after you willingly eat at a California Mexican place in Maryland…)
