Priorities.

I know that, had I managed to get to the con, I probably would have ducked out of the show during mid-day to go watch some English futbol at one of the pubs with Future Mr. Beat.

I don’t know why, but I’ve become more convinced over the years that it’s good to take a break during the show and just get out of the building for some palate cleansing. Of course, if you’ve got a table and are pimping wares, that’s a different story.

It’s true, it’s difficult to plan things for a show that’s only got one proper evening (since Baltimore only runs Saturday and Sunday). But the Orioles played three times that weekend (and got rained out twice).

Maybe Mignola had Orioles tickets.

I know friends that have wanted to go with me to see Lucha in Tiajuana during SD, but they have the “misfortune” of usually being Eisner Nominees or Presenters. :>

I followed the link for Perry Bible Fellowship, having never heard of it, and I am sitting here shaking my head. I see no redeeming qualities in this strip at all, but maybe it’s just me. All I can say is that the competition must not have been very stiff this year.

Then again, Best Syndicated Strip going to Doonesbury shows a lack of competition there as well. Doonesbury is good, but…

Oh well, me and Award Presentations don’t always agree. :0)
