Greetings, my name is David Gross. Topps will be putting out a NEW Wacky Packages set this summer (most likely in August). I did all the writing and painting for this set as well as planning out the concept for the set. I painted about half of the All-New Wacky Packages that came out in recent years and did some new Garbage Pail Kids as well. The set is chock full of extras including Jay Lynch sketch cards (Lynch was one of the writers for the original Wackys). EVERYONE that buys a box will get a sketch card. The sets are designed to be like a 17th series of the original stickers which will parody 1970s products that Topps had not done at that time. All new artwork in EVERY series, no reprints. 33 stickers each set with 9 piece old school style checklists, boxes and wrappers. I have promos and fliers available on Ebay for anyone interested (see ebay seller salandrei). These are available at no profit for me, just covering costs. More info to be announced soon so you can keep visiting www.toppsonlinestore.com. Long Live Wackys!

Thanks!

Oh, man....

As I was reading, I was thinking, "well, this sounds like fun but without the gum (which left a weird, sugary residue on my fingers) and that distinctive smell, I just don't know... Seems like the card retained that smell for a good long time." Then you mentioned the smell and the gum gag, well... I'm sold!

Thanks for the review. I saw this book and was tempted because I was a "wacky" fan as a kid. I remember buying them, trading them and slapping the stickers on everything. I have seen kids wearing t-shirts with large reproductions of the stickers. Glad they are still popular and thought of fondly. Your review made me want to get the book so I will add it to my X-mas list. Thanks for the heads up about the website. Another site to make me unproductive. Tim

I purchased this book as soon as I heard about it!

I was in 5th and 6th grade when the first seven series of Wacky Packages came out. My friends and I used to go down to the corner stores whenever we could to buy the latest Wackies. We would share them with each other the next day at school and fill the playground with laughter.

As the years passed and additional series of stickers were released, my friends and I outgrew them. However, to this day, I still remember many of these early Wackies fondly. When this book arrived in the mail (I'd ordered it from Amazon), I read each page - once again enjoying the images which brought such joy when I was a young boy.

I'm glad this book exists to refresh memories for big kids and make new ones for today's generation!
