As I've read the Jules Verne novel 6-7 times as a kid I was looking forward to the movie and enjoyed the fresh take of using the book as part of the storyline. I suppose a big part of it was sharing the joy of something from my childhood with my kids - I hope they enjoy the book as much as i did. I thought it was a nice light adventure movie. My nephew loved it. He stood leaning against the seat in front of him for the whole film. He was mesmerized by the 3D effects.
