I suspect the lack of notice is not a good sign. I’m not sure sales have been good, and I’m not expecting to see any more product in this line at this point.

I’m curious. I recently listened to an old Archie Andrews radio program.(1949-their first tv set!). Were there any tie-in comics to the radio shows?

I think it boils down to ordering from the States …again! “harder to find the issues to scan”? I was always under the strong impression that they kept all the originals. The digests always seem packed to the galleys with it. And what Gals they Are! And the guys too!! And that Super Duck and all those odd aliens and obscure non Archie Super Hero attempts. I’ve never seen those in their original format sizes.

I too, am hoping for Josie, Sabrina and Mad House sets, but I would also add Little Archie and Life With Archie (Archie adventure comics, for the most part) to my wish list. I’m guessing that if sales are good for the “big gun” Archie titles, GIT will cautiously move ahead with other titles.

Those are all excellent questions, and I have a definite answer to only one of them: the links above say the products can only be sold in the US at this time.

I would guess that there are no plans for French editions, and a 40s version probably depends on sales for the Bronze and Silver sets. (The older the issues, the more expensive to produce and the harder to find the issues to scan, I think.)

Are there any plans to release Sabrina,Here’s Josie,or Mad House in this format? Also, how soon will a set for the 1940s be available? Is any of this stuff being released in Canada? If so,where can I get it? In addition, will the french language editions ever be released?

I am anxiously awaiting my copy of Jughead. It is my comfort comic, so picking up a disc of 120 issues seemed like a no-brainer, now I can just take a bit to veg and enjoy Jughead any time.

I have never seen Lucey’s art, it sounds fantastic. I am now a saddened that I will have to settle for house ads and the scattered few issues to see his work. Now, I am even more excited about the silver age collection, I need to keep an eye out for that. Thanks for the review!

The Archie DVD Roms are fun reads and a nice chunk of vintage comics for the price. I wish they included all or some of the Summer Spectaculars and other special issues. Nice to be able to read these stories again as they were intended and at the normal size. I love the digest format for the value but prefer seeing the stories at normal size. The discs are definitely worth the cost and would make great holiday presents for people who grew up on Archie comics. I’m hoping for a Life With Archie disc at some point. Tim
